Coastal Pollution Toolbox
The Coastal Pollution Toolbox is a tool set to study contaminant, nutrient and carbon dynamics in temperate and polar coastal zones. It structures investigations to provide scientifically sound assessments and products to elucidate origin, effects, and mitigation options. The toolbox serves as a knowledge hub and information platform for decision-makers and scientists.
In order to fulfill this purpose tools are distinguished in Science Tools, Synthesis Tools and Management Tools. Under Infotainment and Media, the interested public can get information on pollution research in the form of a variety of outreach and dissemination products.
Data and infrastructure solutions supported by the Helmholtz Coastal Data Center at Hereon, partially funded by the DataHub, a cross-center initiative of the Research Field Earth and Environment in the Helmholtz Association.
The Coastal Pollution Toolbox is an affiliated project of Future Earth Coasts, a Global Research Network under the Future Earth global research, innovation and sustainability network.
